Location: Wroclaw, Krakow, Warsaw

Position Summary: The MHPSS / Child Protection Officer is expected to provide psychosocial support while at the same time being able to identify vulnerabilities and refer them to other appropriate service providers.

Responsibilities 

Psychosocial Services-Psychological Aid Provision  

• Providing Counseling, Guidance in individual / group sessions
• Ensure referrals internally and externally  
• Identify vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid  
• Provide full case management to the beneficiaries 
• Provide comprehensive package of Psychological Aid Services to the beneficiaries
• Participate in outreach activities
• Provide information on services, benefits etc. to refugees during outreach activities  
• Follows the psychologist’s/ social worker’s code of conduct additionally to the other policies and procedures of the Foundation 
• Reports to Team Leader 

Case-related info management 

• Filling and registering all cases and actions to the reporting lists  
• Brief and Full Case Intake 
• Updating the hard and electronic files per case 

Required qualifications and skills 

Essential

• Psychologist/ Social Worker/ Social Sciences Degree 
• Psychologist/ Social Work license to work in Poland (or Ukraine) 
• 1-year experience in relevant position 
• Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues 
• Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality 
• Understanding of psychological needs and issues of survivors of Gender-based Violence 
• Understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys, and girls 
• Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility 
• Computer literate (advanced understanding of basic applications, including MS Office and online tools)
• Well-organized and efficient 
• Good interpersonal & communications skills 
• Fluent in Ukrainian or Russian (for Psychologists)
• Fluent in Polish (for Social Workers)
• Good Knowledge of English

Desired 

• Field Working Experience in entry points, Camps/Temporary Settlements, or mobile units serving the refugee population 
• Knowledge of Ukrainian / Russian / Polish in addition to the main language of each place (see above) will be evaluated positively
• Previous experience in UN system (UNHCR, IOM, UNICEF) projects
