Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Payments:

  • Review procurement packages and expense documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare payment requests, ensuring all transactions comply with internal policies.
  • Monitor fund availability (bank, petty cash, controlled cash) and communicate financial positions for effective planning.
  • Process payroll and benefits in collaboration with HR.

 Accounting & Reporting:

  • Post financial transactions (RV, PV, and JV) in QuickBooks daily, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Reconcile accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Prepare monthly aging analysis reports and monitor prepaid, accruals, and operational/employee advances.

Financial Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure proper authorization for all payments and adherence to internal control measures.
  • Work closely with the external accounting office to meet local financial regulations.
  • Maintain organized, digital records for all financial transactions.

 Strategic Financial Support:

  • Provide insights and support for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting to optimize fund utilization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations.

Our requirements:

 Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

 Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations.

Experience in a humanitarian organization is a plus.

 Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and Polish accounting principles.

Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).

Ability to read and interpret financial statements according to Polish regulations.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Commitment to ethical financial practices and compliance with policies.
