Our operations in Poland are expanding. We recently recruited for a similar position and are now looking for an additional team member to support our Finance Department. As our programs grow, so does the need for strong financial oversight and administrative support—this role is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and dynamic team making a real difference.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Finance and Accounting Officer to support the financial, administrative, and operational aspects of our programs in Poland. This role is vital to ensuring compliance with Polish fiscal law, internal policies, and donor requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, and external accounting firms to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support logistical and financial aspects of key programs like Mind C.A.R.E. and Youth Peer-to-Peer Initiatives
- Collaborate on vendor contracts, timekeeping, and administrative compliance
- Monitor spending and analyze variances to ensure alignment with budgets
- Assist in budget development, forecasting, and donor financial reporting
- Support monthly and year-end financial closures and audits
- Oversee payroll coordination and ensure compliance with Polish regulations
- Manage payments, petty cash, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain and process daily accounting records in QuickBooks
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience:
- Experience in humanitarian or non-profit sectors is a plus
- Minimum 2 years in finance, accounting, or administration
Skills:
- Fluency in English required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and proactive attitude
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks is an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word (advanced level)

- Adaptable, diplomatic, and resilient under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to humanitarian values
