Are you a creative communicator who wants to make a real impact on people and the planet? This is an opportunity to do so by joining ClientEarth as a Communications Officer based in our Warsaw office. Our team in Warsaw delivers legal work that creates systemic change in Poland and well beyond its borders. The Communications Officer will play an essential role in co-creating that systemic change, working with legal and communications colleagues in Warsaw and across Europe.
Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Joana Iszkowska who is our Communications Lead with extensive experience in the world of media and communications. Joanna is based in Warsaw and joined ClientEarth in 2022. Her role is multifaceted, covering external communications, strategy, thought leadership, publishing, social media and other areas. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Joanna worked at McKinsey & Company as Head of Communications in Central Europe as well as at Gazeta Wyborcza and Newsweek Poland, two of Poland's leading news publications.
Main Duties
- With support from the Communications Lead and with peers in the Communications Team, develop innovative communications, including digital communications, to support the strategic objectives of our work in Poland.
- Create impactful social media, press releases and other content that helps to engage and influence ClientEarth’s key audiences.
- Ensure that ClientEarth Poland’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X & staff LinkedIn profiles are up to date to engage and grow target audiences on respective channels.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in communications space both within the NGO sector and in the commercial sphere.
Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in Polish & English (essential)
- Experience of developing engaging content for use across a range of channels, including websites and social media (essential).
- Experience of responding to competing deadlines and managing multiple tasks and priorities in a busy communications environment (essential).
- An interest in environmental issues such as climate change and regenerating biodiversity, and their social ramifications (essential).
- Knowledge of the political landscape in Poland and how that would affect ClientEarth’s work (desirable).
