 Right to Protection (hereinafter: the "Foundation") is a non-governmental organization whose activities focus on providing support to people with migration experience, people under temporary protection, people applying for international protection, stateless persons, people at risk of statelessness, and undocumented persons.

Project Description

The project aims to ensure that Ukrainian citizens staying in European countries have access to reliable information, individual counselling, and the support necessary to make informed and voluntary decisions about their future.

As part of the project, a Regional Counselling and Referral Network is being established, linking counselling services provided in European countries with the support and reintegration system in Ukraine.

The Community Outreach and Engagement Officer is a member of an interdisciplinary team, together with a lawyer and a social worker. They are responsible for cooperation with Ukrainian communities, information and education activities, organizing events, digital communication, and ensuring two-way communication between beneficiaries and the counselling network.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining cooperation with Ukrainian communities, civic initiatives, volunteers, and Ukrainian organizations in Stockholm;
  • Organizing and conducting information sessions, group consultations, community meetings, and other educational activities on available forms of support, preparation for voluntary return, and reintegration;
  • Disseminating reliable information via social media, online communities, digital platforms, and other communication channels;
  • Administering and developing online communities aimed at Ukrainian refugees;
  • Identifying the informational needs, concerns, and risks present among Ukrainian communities;
  • Ensuring effective two-way communication between communities and the counselling team;
  • Collecting, analyzing, and documenting feedback and information from beneficiaries in order to improve the quality of services provided;
  • Cooperating with public institutions, NGOs, civic initiatives, and other partners;
  • Cooperating with social workers and lawyers to effectively refer beneficiaries to appropriate services;
  • Maintaining documentation and preparing reports in accordance with project requirements;
  • Participating in trainings, working meetings, and activities aimed at improving the quality of services provided.

Candidate Requirements

  • Higher education, preferably in social work, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, or related fields (diploma or diploma recognition/nostrification);
  • At least 1 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an NGO or humanitarian project;
  • Experience working with foreigners, refugees, or people in particularly difficult social situations will be an additional asset;
  • Fluent knowledge of and Ukrainian;
  • English at least at B2 level;
  • Swedish language proficiency: minimum B2 level.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to build relationships with beneficiaries and conduct supportive conversations;
  • Highly developed organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Independence, responsibility, and ability to work in a team;
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of community safeguarding principles and methods of engaging communities in decision-making and problem-solving related to their needs;
  • Knowledge of methods for organizing community outreach, building partnerships, and supporting the active participation of community representatives in the implementation of humanitarian programs;
  • Knowledge of accountability principles toward people receiving humanitarian aid, including mechanisms for collecting, analyzing, and incorporating their opinions, suggestions, and complaints;
  • Knowledge of methods for identifying the needs, risks, and vulnerability factors among people affected by forced displacement;
  • Knowledge of methods for organizing information and education activities and for preparing and disseminating reliable information through online and offline communication channels;
  • Knowledge of the principles of humanitarian work, international standards of civilian protection, and ethical principles for working with people belonging to particularly vulnerable groups;
  • Knowledge of the social, legal, and humanitarian services system in Poland and Ukraine, as well as cooperation mechanisms between state institutions, international organizations, and the NGO sector.
